On saturday, I wrapped up the mixing on Violet Mary's first record, Marionette. I can confidently say that I've not worked on a stronger release, nor have a been more proud of a project. I'm very excited to get the record into people's hands. The mixes are in Canada at Digital Sunspot for mastering, and should arrive back later this week.
In other news, we'll be picking our album cover art on friday. We commissioned two Rochester artists, Bethany Beams and Cathy Bileti, to work up design ideas. They will each be exhibiting their work at the release party on April 18th.
I will be posting again in a few days, sharing some of the ideas that are brewing for the next record!
